Groovy producer & founding member of Killing Joke, Youth (Martin Glover) performed at Tim and Cherub’s one of a kind sound activation project “Resonate” – a large scale 3d sound event held in a Turkish Mosque in London.
This unique collaboration led to Tim and Cherub performing at Space Mountain; Youth’s music, art & performance festival in Sierra Nevada.
“At Space Mountain, the in house producers Youth, John Leckie, and Michael Rendall combined the best and most sublime recordings from the studio sessions at Space Mountain Festival, and then put them all together to create this beautiful album.
Featuring the sounds of stellar musicians and legendary icons, such as Roger Eno, Matt Black, Nik Turner, and Youth. This album delves through the eclectic range of genres that made the festival so unique. From the sweet, meditative, ambience of Tim Wheater and Cherub, who would open the sessions each morning with a long gong bath, the soulful pairing of Aurora Dawn and Roger Eno, late night acoustic ramblings of Jackson Scott and Fred Stitz, onto the synthetic delights of electronic behemoths, The Egg, battling it out on “Break The Day”.
We put this album together so that we could all re-live the experience of Space Mountain, and to immortalise those eternal moments that only music can create.”
